George Hancock Kennerly: Born 28 January 1790, Fincastle, VA. Died 25 January 1867, St. Louis, MO. Buried Jefferson Barracks National Cem., St. Louis, MO. George was a military sub-agent under Major Benjamin O'Fallon at Fort Atkinson from 1824 to 1826, for the Sioux Indians, on the Missouri River. He also ran a general merchandise firm with brother James.Capt. George served in the War of 1812 and in the War with Mexico.He was a great duelist and unerring shot, wrote William Clark Kennerly.

Alzire Menard Kennerly: Wife of George Hancock Kennerly, Born 30 September 1804, Kaskaskia, IL. Died 9 December 1886, St. Louis, MO. Married 27 December 1825, Randolph Co., Kaskaskia, IL.

Samuel Augustin Kennerly: Son of George & Alzire Kennerly, Born 9 March 1840, Jefferson Barracks, St. Louis, MO. Died 1 September 1864, Jonesboro, GA. Samuel served with Company A 1st Missouri Infantry as a Captain. He fought in the Atlanta campaign, an died during it. A fellow officer said "Samuel was a most fearless, cheerful and determined officer."

Lewis Hancock Kennerly: Son of George & Alzire Kennerly, Born 10 October 1831, Jefferson Barracks, St. Louis, MO. Died 28 April 1885, Mobile, AL. Lewis was a Captain, Major and Acting Assistant Adjutant General for the 1st Missouri Infantry. He served under Gen. Albert Sidney Johnston.
